EPHA Honored with an Award for Its contribution to the 5th Edition of the National Health Research Ethics Review Guideline(1Dec 2011, Addis Ababa)

Ethiopian Public Health Association (EPHA) was awarded a certificate of recognition for its valuable contribution to the successful workshop organized to finalize the 5th Edition of National Health Research Ethics Review Guideline.

The consultative workshop, which took place from Dec 1st and 2d in Ghion Hotel was organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO)

Among the audience of this pertinent meeting gathered to enrich the draft Guideline, EPHA was represented by Executive Director Ato Hailegnaw Eshete and Dr. Girma Desta Senior project officer who has been assisting Institutional Review Board(IRB) activities of the Association.

The workshop was successful in fulfilling its objectives by enriching and improving the Guideline that called for jointly working with academic institutions and professional associations like EPHA for the success of Research Ethics Review in Ethiopia.

EPHA was one of the institutions honored with an award for its financial and technical support of the National consultative workshop.

EPHA’s Executive Director Ato Hailegnaw Eshete received the certificate of recognition from the representative of the Ministry of Science and Technology.
